Here’s what to expect from a trip to The Adventure Park in Bridgeport CT.
The Adventure Park
Adventure Park offers up a wide array of activities for the entire family (starting at age 5 and older) and for every fitness level. Visitors can select from 11 different trails that span some five acres of woodland to enjoy a relaxed day out in the trees or a bigger challenge that works up a sweat. The aerial trails are right outside of the Discovery Museum, so you don’t have to travel far for a great outdoor adventure.
Zip Lines Galore!
When you arrive at the park you can explore 21 zip lines with six difficulty levels, and over 160 challenge bridges, all in a single day in some of New England’s most attractive woodland areas.
The Zip lines are available on a series of different platforms and make up the largest forest climbing forest in New England. Starting on the main platform, your zip line adventure will take you through hundreds of feet of high flying zip lines. Each of the zip lines and climbing trails is color coded so you can easily tell which ones difficult and which ones are a bit easier for those who are new to ziplines and climbing. The average climber, however, can cover about two to four trails in three hours.
Worthwhile Spots to Visit in the Park
The Labyrinth
An amazing structure that provides climbers with well over 40 different elements. The Labyrinth is designed for young families and children aged 5-9. It is also a blast for adults who want to help their children through the maze.
The Monkey Grove
The Monkey Grove is a wonderful area of the park that has 10 trees that provide an entirely new challenge to those who love to climb. Used as an alternative to indoor climbing walls, the Grove is an excellent option if you want the entire family to have a blast.
Night Climbing
If you’re interested in an exciting adventure that you can’t get elsewhere, at least not with this level of safety, then try their night climbing option. Climb trees that are lit up with a variety of outdoor lights and lasers as well as set to music. Swing through the trees by moonlight and lasers for a truly unique adventure. This one is more suited for older children and their parents or just an all adult party. It’s fun for all ages.
